Brothers and Andrade Tabbed First-Team All-MASCAC

Worcester, MA --- Senior classmates Matt Brothers (Auburn, MA) and Brian Andrade (Hudson, MA) have each been named to the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) first-team in a vote taken by each of the conferences eight coaches this past week.

Brothers, who has been honored as a first-team selection in each of his four seasons at Worcester State, played both as a back and at midfield this season. Playing in 15 games Brothers tallied just one goal, a game-winner in a 4-3 decision to Westfield State, this season. Brothers ends his outstanding career with 26 markers and six assists.

Andrade, selected for his third-straight first-team accolade, finished the season tied for second in the conference with 12 markers while he also dished out one assist. Earlier this season Andrade was honored as the MVP of the Worcester County Classic for his hat-trick against WPI to help lead the Lancers to the title. Andrade wraps up his four-year career as a striker with 36 goals and six assists for a total of 78 points.

The Lancers ended their season at 7-9-2 and at 4-3 in the MASCAC under fourth year head coach Christian Battaglia.
