Worcester, MA- Senior Matthew Alzamora (Holden, MA) leads the Worcester State Men’s Soccer team in this years MASCAC All-Conference Awards voted on at the end of the season by the conference coaches. Two other teammates joined Alzamora, junior Declan Ryder (Worcester, MA) and sophomore Brendan Lower (Grafton, MA) as All Conference selections.
Alzamora was the loan first team selection for the Lancers, being selected as a first team defenseman after a dominating performance on defense and serving as captain of the Lancer squad. Ryder and Lower were named to the MASCAC second team. Ryder was a consistent presence in the midfield, working to transition the ball up the field for the Lancer attack along with Lower who worked hand in hand on the defensive end to ensure a solid presence across the field. Lower was also a contributor on the attack, recording three goals this season.
Worcester State ended their season at 5-8-4 and 3-4 in the MASCAC.
