Daley Leads Men's Cross Country At Western New England Invitational

 

Springfield, MA --- Junior Pat Daley (Millbury, MA) recorded 24th place with a time of 27:57 as he helped lead the Worcester State men's cross country team at the Western New England Invitational this afternoon on their campus course.

The Lancers captured eighth place out of 21 teams in the competition – nearly all of whom were from institutions from around New England. The race included 204 runners.

Sophomore Connor O'Neill (Dudley, MA) added 41st (28:28) while senior Tim Mazeika (Millbury, MA) was right behind in 50th (28:37).

Second-year Patrick Bova (Princeton, MA), senior Kerry Sabanty (Stoughton, MA) and sophomore Wesley Hebert (Leominster, MA) all added 61st (28:50), 79th (29:14) and 87th (29:30), respectively.

Sophomore Adam Pepin (Paxton, MA) tallied 95th (29:53) to round out the squad as the top seven all finished under 30 minutes for the first time this season.

The Lancers will take a break and run again in two weeks at the MASAC/Alliance Championships which will be hosted by Westfield State at Stanley Park.
