WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester State women’s basketball team is set to host two fall clinics during two back-to-back Sunday’s (Nov. 1 and Nov. 8) –a girls’ basketball clinic and a basketball coaches clinic.
The Worcester State girl’s fall basketball clinic will be hosted Nov. 1 and 8 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Notre Dame Academy in Worcester (just two miles from the university) due to ongoing construction at the Worcester State gymnasium. The cost is $60 for both days (one day attendance is possible) where the attendees will receive individual instruction from Worcester State coaches and players. The clinic is for all ages and all skill levels.

The basketball coaches’ clinic will be held on Nov. 8 also at the Notre Dame Academy. The clinic will be from 8:30 a.m. – noon where topics such as, warm-up drills, positional work, shooting drills, individual/team defense, special situations, conditioning drills, offensives, team philosophies, etc. will be discussed. The clinic also will feature guest speaker, Mark Leszczyk, who is the head women’s basketball coach at Roxbury Community College and has received the 2011 NJCAA National Coach of the Year award in 2011.
