Three Lancers Selected to Play in the NEWBA All-Star Game

Worcester, MA - The New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) has announced the 2022-23 NEWBA Senior All-Star Classic participants. The game will be played at Smith College on Sunday, March 26 at 1:00. Spectators are welcomed. 

Worcester State had three seniors selected to play in the game this Sunday, graduate student Sarah Blomgren (Lunenburg, MA), and seniors Elizabeth and Erin Gallella (Tewksbury, MA). Blomgren, a starting center, ended her career with 632 points, 48 blocks and 428 rebounds. Elizabeth Gallella concluded her career with 541 points, 157 assists and 276 rebounds in her three playing season with the Lancers. Erin Gallella rounds out the trio selected with a total of 716 points, 303 assists and 292 rebounds. Gallella was also named to the MASCAC 2nd Team at the conclusion of the season.
