
Worcester, MA- With the return of Women’s Ice Hockey in 2025, so comes the return of conference recognition for the Lancers. First Emily Johns (Clinton, MA) and junior Kelsey Czerniawski (Chicopee, MA) return for their fourth time to the weekly honors, this time joined by graduate student Sydney Vautour (Hamilton, MA) to sweep the weekly honors.
John found the back of the net early in the second period to put the Lancers up 2-0 in their 3-1 win over Salem State. The goal ultimately ended up as the game winner for the Lancers. On the season, Johns has recorded seven goals and three assist for 10 points. Two goals have been game winners while one was a power play goal and another an empty netter on the season.
Czerniawski stopped 28 shots with a .966 save percentage and single goal allowed in the Lancers’ 3-1 win over Salem State. On her career, Czerniawski is only 25 saves from 1,000 career saves. Just on the season Kelsey has recorded 256 saves for a .955 save percentage and 1.90 goals against average.
Vautour netted a goal and assist in the Lancers’ 3-1 win over Salem State. Tallied an assist on the second goal of the game and added an insurance goal late in the second for the win. On the season, Vautour has one goal and 4 assists for five points on the season.
The Lancers are back in action next Saturday as they journey to Amherst for a 3pm puck drop.
