Worcester State Women's Lacrosse Announces 2025 Schedule

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Lacrosse team, led by 9th year head coach Kelly Downs, is pleased to announce their 2025 schedule. Led by returning MASCAC 2nd team and CSC All Region selection midfielder Mckayla Fisher (Peabody, MA), alongside a well-rounded returning core of cage-to-cage, and talented newcomers, the Lancers look to grab the top spot in the conference. Worcester went 10-9, 4-2 in conference, last year, falling in the MASCAC semifinals, and are looking to build off their challenge schedule to launch themselves into the finals and an NCAA berth this year.

“As we approach this new season, the excitement is evident. Our team has been working tirelessly in the offseason, and I’m confident that the dedication and hard work will pay off” says Downs. “There’s a unique energy in the air, and I truly believe we have the potential to accomplish great things together. We’re ready to take on the challenges ahead and make this season a memorable one.”

The Blue and Gold begin their season in the last week of February as the journey to Wellesley on February 22nd and Simmons, just four days later, on the 26th. Worcester will host their first home game of the season when they welcome Southern Maine to Coughlin field on the first of March before again hitting the road, this time south, to Western Connecticut on the 6th. The Lancers will host two home games, Wheaton on March 8th and Emmanuel on March 13th, before their Spring Break journey to Puerto Rico where they will face Fredonia on March 17th and Smith on the 18th during their island getaway. They will return to New England and remain on the road as they take on Johnson & Wales on March 26th before closing out the month at home opening conference play versus Bridgewater State on the 29th.

April 1st will put the Lancers on the road north, to Keene State, and they will return home on April 3rd to welcome the Golden Bears of Western New England to Central Mass. In return to MASCAC action, Worcester will host Mass. Maritime on the 12th and Westfield State on the 16th before journeying to Salem State for the 19th and Framingham State for the 22nd. Worcester will close out their regular season on April 26th, in a game played in honor of this year’s senior class as they host Fitchburg State on April 26th.
