Kralian Tabbed MASAC Track & Field Athlete of the Week

Buzzards Bay, MA --- For the second-straight week and the third time this season, junior Mara Kralian has earned MASCAC weekly honors after her performance at the MIT Co-Ed Invitational. For Kralian this is the 10th time in her career she has been distinguished by the conference.

Kralian, a native of North Grafton, MA, took home top honors in the 55 meters (7.43) before she notched a pair of second place finishes in the 200 meters (27.01) and long jump (5.23 meters) to help lead the Lancers at the non scoring meet.

Last week Kralian earned the MASCAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week accolade for provisionally qualifying for the NCAA Division III Track & Field Indoor Championships for having a long jump leap of 5.46 meters for first place at the UNH Invitational. Kralian's jump was only 6 inches away from tying her own school record in the event.

The Lancers will compete next week at the second Tufts Invitational as a warm-up to the MASCAC/New England Alliance Championships on February 12.
