Winston-Salem, NC --- Senior Alyssa Jasper (Rockland, MA) tallied 3,225 points for 14th place in the indoor pentathlon at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships held at the JDL Fast Track this afternoon.

Jasper impressed the field by winning the shot put (39-01.25/11.92 meters) before tying for eighth in the long jump (16-5/5.00m). Her 60 meter hurdles time was tenth overall (9.37) as she also cleared 4-9.50 in the high jump (1.46m) and clocked 2:37.76 in the 800 meters.

The meet marked her fourth overall appearance at an NCAA Division III meet while it was her first indoor championship competition. In each of the last three outdoor campaigns Jasper was a participant in the javelin and last year she finished eighth in the heptathlon for All-American accolades.

Jasper first solidified her spot among the nation's best by winning the ECAC Division III pentathlon with a school record 3,391 points one week ago today. She was one of three from New England in the 17 entrants in the pentathlon field.

This season marked the third time in the last four years that a female track and field student-athlete has competed at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships.
