Women's Indoor Track & Field Grabs Two MASCAC Weekly Awards

WESTFIELD, Mass. - For the second consecutive week, the Worcester State University women's indoor track & field team has earned two weekly awards from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference.

Senior Abigail MacGregor (Salem, N.H.) earned her second straight MASCAC Track Athlete of the Week award after a strong performance over the weekend at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet. MacGregor placed fourth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.88 seconds, the third fastest time in program history. She also placed third in the 200 meter dash at 25.82 seconds.

Also at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet, freshman Maureen Grady (Douglas, Mass.) took fifth in the 60 meter dash at 7.91 seconds, while also placing fourth in the long jump at 5.25 meters. She earned her second straight MASCAC Rookie of the Week award for her performance, and fourth overall this season.
