Worcester State Wins Fourth Straight With 3-0 Triumph Over Anna Maria

Worcester, MA --- Sophomore Michelle Maass (Halifax, MA)  paced Worcester State with 25 digs to help lead the Lancers, 3-0, over Anna Maria in non-conference women's volleyball action on Thursday evening at Lancer Gymnasium. Worcester State, winners of four straight, improve to 7-4 while the AMCATS slip to 2-4. WSC took the match in three straight sets 25-12, 25-12 and 25-10.

Lancer sophomore Brittney Ledoux (Nashua, NH) added eight kills on the evening while freshman classmates Brittney Stoddard (Orange, MA) and Katey Figella (Feeding Hills, MA) notched three aces. Stoddard also finished the evening with 22 assists.

Senior Jacqueline Laham (Westwood, MA) led the way for Anna Maria with 13 digs and two kills while junior Brittney Langdeau (Wolcott, CT) registered eight digs. Freshman Alicia Bonneau (Worcester, MA)added seven digs and one ace for the AMCATS.

The Lancers will take a break until they host UMass Boston at 6 PM next Wednesday while Anna Maria will entertain Bay Path on Saturday at 11 AM.
