Sheldon Henry Named Worcester State Intramural Night Weekend Manager

WORCESTER, Mass. – On Wednesday (Aug. 3) the Worcester State University Athletic Department announced their newest addition to their staff, Sheldon Henry, as the Intramural Night and Weekend Manager.

In the role as Intramural Manager, Henry will be responsible for the administration, supervision, and development of a comprehensive intramural program for the university community.

“We are happy to welcome Sheldon to the Worcester State Athletic Department,” stated Director of Athletics, Michael Mudd.  “We look forward to him developing and implementing a robust intramural program for our campus community.”

Henry joins the Lancers staff after working with the Southern Connecticut State University Recreation Department over the past two years. His responsibilities there included assisting in the scheduling and planning of nine intramural sports and activities while also taking on administrative duties such as assisting in developing a club sports manual and other publications.

“I am very excited to be joining the Worcester State Athletic Department this fall,” stated Henry.  “I can’t wait to bring excitement to the campus and begin planning different intramural sports and events for our students.”

At Worcester State, Henry will be in charge of the planning and scheduling of the intramural activities, team sports, and special events while demonstrating prudent risk management. Henry will work closely with other university departments to promote programming of intramural events. Henry will also be taking on the role as the Wellness Center manager for some nights and weekends.

“Athletics is my passion and I look forward to being able to work with and serve our students, faculty and staff,” added Henry.
