Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Golf team continued their spring action after a shortened tournament a few weeks ago put a damper on their spring season by hosting the 2024 Rich Korzec Memorial in honor of the legendary Worcester State Golf Coach. Present today were former players as coaches with their teams to play and honor his lasting legacy at Worcester State.
Claiming the top spot for the Lancers was first year Zach Hurley (Feeding Hills, MA) who recorded a 79 on the day to tie for 12th. Coming in just behind was junior Jack Ryan (Wakefield, MA) who recorded an 80 and a tie for 16th. Junior, and first year member, Wyatt Friedlander (Lake PLacid, NY) would claim the third spot for Worcester, finishing in a tie for 26th with fellow teammate and sophomore Jon Gastonguay (Ashburnham, MA) at 87. Rounding out the top five for Worcester was senior Patrick Rennie (Bridgewater, MA) who claimed 37th with a score of 90.
This meet concludes the Lancers season as they eye a return to the courses next Fall.
