Danso Tabbed MASCAC Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University’s Abigail Danso (Worcester, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women’s outdoor track athlete of the week, as announced by the conference Monday afternoon.

This past weekend, Danso won the 100 Meter Hurdles event with a PR time of 15.51 at the Bridgewater State Bears Invitational. She also placed 10th in the 100 Meter (13.33) and came in 19th in the 200 Meter (28.34).

“Abby is a very committed and determined athlete, she never settles and is always pushing to be better,” commented head coach Andrea Ouellette.  “She keeps a clear focus on her personal goals and will put in all the work it takes to attain those goals.”

“With the performances she has been giving, it’s very hard to believe that last year was her first time ever going over a hurdle,” expressed Ouellette.  “She’s one to watch out for!”

The women’s track & field team’s next outing is this Saturday, April 1 as they travel to Tufts for the Snowflake Classic.
