WESTFIELD, Mass. - A pair of Worcester State University spring student-athletes have received weekly awards from the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference, brought to you by GEICO.

Junior Kaiulani Ennis (Swansea, Mass.) was named the MASCAC Softball Player of the Week, while sophomore Kylie Hill (Lunenburg, Mass.) was named the MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.

Ennis batted .440 (11-25) with a double, two home runs, six runs scored, and nine RBIs with a .720 slugging percentage in eight games for the Lancers last week. She went 3-for-7 with a double, two runs scored and two RBI in the doubleheader split with Bridgewater State. Her strongest outing of the week came on Tuesday night however, when she went 5-for-7 with two home runs, three runs scored, and six RBIs in the doubleheader split with Clark University.

Hill finished last week with four goals and an assist to go along with seven ground balls and a caused turnover in a 2-0 week for the Lancers. She netted two goals and an assist in the 15-6 win over Massachusetts Maritime and added two goals, six ground balls, and a caused turnover in a 13-8 win over Eastern Connecticut State University.

Ennis is the first Lancer softball player to receive a MASCAC weekly award this season. Hill is the second player from the women's lacrosse program to receive MASCAC Rookie of the Week honors this season, joining freshman Madison Brennan (Pomfret, Conn.), who received the award on March 23.
