Nikki Narducci Joins WSU Athletics as the new Sports Information Director

WORCESTER, Mass. – Nikki Narducci has been named the Sports Information Director for the Worcester State Department of Athletics, as announced by Director of Athletics, Michael Mudd.

Narducci joins the Lancer Athletic Department after having three years of sports information experience with an NCAA Division II Athletic Program, along with two seasons of experience with an independent league baseball team located in Laredo, Texas.

Shortly after her first internship with the Connecticut Sports Management Group in 2012, Narducci landed a position as the Athletic Operations Assistant with the Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) Athletic Department, from where she was promoted to Assistant Sports Information Director in 2013. During her last five months with the university, she took over the sports information department as the Interim Sports Information Director and Promotions Specialist. In her time at TAMIU, she oversaw the sports information department, managing tasks such as, in-game statistics, writing press releases, along with updating each of TAMIU’s 11 varsity sports websites and statistics. She also assisted with game-day operations, marketing, promotions, and graphic design.

Narducci also worked as an Account Executive and Graphic Designer with the Laredo Lemurs – an independent league baseball team – from 2013-14. While there, her work included group sales, box office ticket sales and game-day operations. She also oversaw the organization’s advertisements and graphics for the video board – including player headshots and statistics for each game.

Narducci, a native of Deep River, Conn., graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2012 with a double major in Communication Sciences and Sport Promotion. She continued her education as a graduate student at TAMIU, where she received her Master’s of Educational Administration in 2015 in order to advance her career within collegiate athletics.

“I am thrilled to continue my journey in collegiate athletics with Worcester State University,” said Narducci. “I like the direction that the athletic department is moving in, and look forward to being a part of the new era. I look forward to working with the athletic department, the university, and the community as a whole. I also would like to thank Athletic Director, Michael Mudd, for giving me this opportunity to take on the role as the new SID.”
