The football team's non-conference schedule starts off with a home game against Anna Maria on Friday, Aug. 31 before the squad heads across town to face off against city-rival WPI for a Sept. 8 tango. After traveling to NEFC Champion Western New England on Sep. 15, the Blue and Gold host Westfield State to open Bogan Division play on Sept. 22.
A pair of road contests against Maine Maritime (Sept. 29) and Bridgewater State (Oct. 13) sandwich a home rematch with Mass Maritime on Oct. 6, who handed WSU one of their three setbacks in 2011. After Worcester State hosts Coast Guard on Oct. 20, the Lancers entertain Fitchburg State on Oct. 27 in their annual homecoming contest.
The final game on the slate is a November 3 matchup against division champion Framingham State. Last season the Lancers capped off their sensational campaign with Coach Cullen’s 150th career win against the Rams.
The women's soccer team entertains six opponents in their first eight games before they head on the road for a brutal stretch with six in a row away from Coughlin Field.
The Lancers will open up with Rhode Island College at home on Friday, Aug. 31. After playing four consecutive NEWMAC opponents - including visits to crosstown rivals Clark (Sat, Sept. 8) and WPI (Tues, Sept. 11). WSU begins MASCAC play with Framingham State on Sept. 15.
The schedule features early home dates with 2011 NCAA Division III Tournament participants Wheaton (Sun, Sept. 2) and MIT (Tues, Sept. 4) and a rematch at Keene State on Sept 27, whom the Lancers defeated in PKs for the ECAC Division III Tournament crown last season. The Blue and Gold play their final two home games of the season on Sat, Oct. 20 against Fitchburg State and Wed, Oct. 24 against UMass Dartmouth.

The women's volleyball squad kicks off their season at the Regis Pride Invitational on the weekend of Aug. 31 and Sept. 1. WSU takes on Husson and MIT in the opening round, who were both conference tournament semifinalists in their respective conferences.
On the following weekend on Sat, Sept. 8, the Blue and Gold will entertain Clark and WPI in a tri-match in the Lancer Gym for their home opener in the 2012 Worcester City Tournament. Worcester State's conference opener is against MCLA on Tues, Sept. 11.
The schedule features four weekend tri-matches on Sept. 15 with UMass Dartmouth at Southern Maine, a matchup on Sat, Sept. 22 with Daniel Webster at Salem State, a home date on Framingham State and Babson on Sat, Oct. 13 and the regular season finale that includes ECAC Tournament finalist Plymouth State at Rhode Island College on Sat Oct. 27.
For the second consecutive season, WSU will also participate in the Crabtree Tournament on Sat, Oct. 6 to faceoff against hosting Eastern Connecticut and the University of New England.

Both the men's and women's cross country teams start their season at the Jim Sheehan Invitational on Fri, Sept. 7 and with the Shriners Invitational at UMass Dartmouth on Sat, Sept. 15. The Lancers will then host the annual Worcester City Meet will take place at Moore State Park on Sat, Sept. 22 before the harriers will compete on the road at the Tri-State Championships at CCRI (Sat, Sept. 29), at Westfield State's Stanley Park on Sat, Oct. 6 and at the Western New England campus course on Sat, Oct. 13.
The MASCAC/New England Alliance Championship will be hosted by Westfield State on Sat, Oct. 27. After the ECAC Division III New England Championships at Mount Greylock on Sat Nov. 3, the NCAA Division III New England qualifier will also be hosted by Westfield State on Sat, Nov. 10.
Women's Cross Country Schedule
The women's tennis team starts off their slate with a trio of road contests including their Little East opener on Sun, Sept. 9 at Bridgewater State. The next three will feature the Lancers as the home team with Becker at Assumption on Tues, Sept. 11, Anna Maria at a site to be determined on Fri, Sept. 14 and Wentworth on Sat, Sept 15. at Clark.
Other non-conference opponents include MCLA (Sun, Sept. 23) and Johnson & Wales (Sat, Sept. 29) on the road while they will entertain LEC foes UMass Boston (Wed, Oct. 10) and Southern Maine (Sat, Oct. 13) in their final matches of the season.
The top six squads in the nine-team LEC make the tournament. The conference quarterfinals start on Tues, Oct. 16, the semifinals continue on Thurs, Oct. 18 and the championship will be at the highest remaining seed on Sat, Oct. 20.
The men's golf team begins their schedule with three consecutive tournaments featuring the top teams in the area. The starting five open with the Trinity Invitational on Sept. 8-9 with the first round at Tuxnis and the second day at Blackledge. The Blue and Gold also will play at the Middlebury Invitational (Fri-Sat, Sept. 15-16) at the Ralph Myhre campus course and at the Williams Invitational at Taconic (Fri-Sat, Sept. 22-23).
Other one-day invitationals include the Elms Fall Blazer Invitaitonal at Chicopee on Wed, Sept. 26, the Franklin Pierce Invitational on Wed, Oct. 10 at The Shattuck and the Westfield State Invitational at Tekoa on Sat, Oct. 13.
The Lancers will co-host the two-day GNAC Championships on Sat-Sun, Oct. 20-21 with Anna Maria for a chance to compete at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Tournament in the spring. WSU will then close the season with the NEIGA Tournament at Captains on Sun-Mon, Oct. 28-29.
