Worcester, MA- After a strong week for the Worcester State Women’s lacrosse team, the MASCAC selected senior Abbie Wing (Griswold, CT) as the MASCAC Offensive Player of the Week.
Wing netted eight goals and two assists for 10 points including her 100th career point in a 1-1 week for the Lancers. Finished with five goals and one assist in the 20-13 win over Emmanuel. Added three goals and an assist in the back and forth 14-13 setback t0 Wheaton (Mass.). Her three scores either tied or gave the Lancers the lead throughout the game. On the season thus far Wing has recorded 20 goals and three assists for 23 points on the season with a free position goal.
The Lancers are back in action tomorrow when they take on Smith College at 9:30am in Puerto Rico for the final game of their Spring Break trip.
