Buzzards Bay, MA --- Senior’s Stephanie Demake (Auburn, MA) and Shannon Feeley (W. Springfield, MA), junior Rachael Armenti (West Boylston, MA) along with sophomore Danielle Clifford (Attleboro, MA) have been named to the All-MASCAC Women’s Soccer team in a vote by the leagues coaches earlier this week. Demake and Clifford were distinguished on the First-team while Feeley and Armenti were honored on the Second-team.

Clifford had a sensational second year as the main striker for the Lancers as she tallied team highs of 10 goals, seven assists for a total of 27 points. Clifford finished the regular season fourth overall in the MASCAC in points and tied for fourth in goals.

Demake started in 17 of 18 games this season as she primarily played center back. Demake made numerous team-saves throughout the season as she also tallied a game-clinching goal in a 1-0 triumph over Fitchburg State while she ended the year with two goals and two assists for a total of four points.

Demake was a First-team All-MASCAC selection in 2007 as she helped the Lancers win the MASCAC regular season and tournament championship and make the NCAA Division III Tournament Sweet 16. Demake wraps up her three-year career at WSC with six goals, four assists for a total of 16 points in 55 games. Four of her six goals were game-winning markers.

Armenti had a breakout season in her second year as the full-time keeper for the women’s soccer team. Armenti ended up the regular season second in the MASCAC in save percentage (.892) and third in goals against average (0.86). Armenti also had a conference-best seven shutouts which included three against MASCAC opponents.

Feeley, was a solid midfielder for WSC this season as she registered five goals and two assists for 12 points, which was third-highest on the team. Feely, an All-MASCAC First-team selection in 2005, finishes her women’s soccer career with 13 goals, six assists for a total of 32 points in 70 games (52 starts).

Worcester State currently has a 9-6-3 record and they finished the season unbeaten at 4-0-3 in MASCAC play under the direction of second year head coach Kevin Cumberbatch. The Lancers were ousted from the conference tournament semifinals yesterday by MCLA in a 3-2 setback.

WSC awaits word on a possible ECAC bid when the announcement comes this Monday.
