Springfield, MA --- Freshman Mara Kralian (Grafton, MA) and sophomore Andrea Ouellette (Salisbury, MA) each reset their own school records while senior Mark Johnson (Woburn, MA) earned All-ECAC honors as the Worcester State Lancers competed at the ECAC Championships this afternoon hosted by Springfield College. This meet wraps up the outdoor season for both squads.
Ouellette improved her NCAA Provisional leap in the triple jump as she took fifth and All-ECAC honors with a distance of 11.43 meters (37-06) while she eclipsed the mark she set in April at the Jim Sheehan Invitational. Ouellette's jump should move her into the top 30 competitors and she awaits to see if her name is called for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Kralian improved her school mark by a second as she finished with All-ECAC accolades with a time of 12.72. Kralian also placed 14th in the long jump (4.90 meters) and she helped out the 4 x 100 meter relay squad of Ouellette, Sarah Rafferty (Uxbridge, MA) and Kristina Lisacki (Woburn, MA) finish 18th with a time of 50.78.
Johnson wrapped up his senior career as he placed fifth with an All-ECAC finish of 55.04 meters.
Freshman Brittany Stoddard (Orange, MA) rounded out the competitors for the Lancers as she tossed 11th in the javelin (34.82 m).
The women finished tied for 28th with nine points with Amherst while the men tied with six other schools (including Westfield State) for 44th with four points.
