Buzzards Bay, MA --- Senior outside hitter Lauren Saylor has been selected as this week's MASCAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week after her performance this past weekend at the Regis Pride Invitational. This is the fifth time in her career that she has received the honor.
Saylor, who hails from Swansea, MA, averaged 10 kills and 11 digs with four aces in a 2-4 week for the Lancers. Saylor reached double-figures twice in setbacks to Regis (11-15) and WPI (16-15) while she tallied 15 kills in a 3-1 triumph over Salem State.
Saylor added to her totals in both categories as she now has 937 kills and 775 digs in her outstanding career.
The Lancers continue their season as they will face the Cougars at Clark's Kneller Athletic Center in the first round of the Worcester City Tournament on Saturday at 9 AM. The winner/loser will play WPI or Assumption in the consolation or championship game.
