WESTFIELD, Mass. - Three games into his collegiate career, Worcester State University baseball freshman Andrew Miller (Naples, Fla.) was named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week, brought to you by GEICO.
Miller went 4-for-8 with a double, triple, and a home run in the Lancers’ opening weekend down in Florida. He led the Lancers with a slugging percentage of 1.250 on the weekend, while also recording four RBIs and three runs scored. His best game of the week came in a 14-13 win over Ursinus on Sunday, in which he went 2-for-4 with a triple, home run, and three runs batted in.
Miller and the Lancers will continue their Florida swing on Tuesday morning with a non-conference matchup against SUNY Poly. First pitch is slated for 11 a.m.
