Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Baseball team claimed their second MASCAC weekly honor this week as senior Ben Smith (Bourne, MA) was selected as the conference’s pitcher of the week.
Smith threw a complete game, going 10 innings with six hits, one earned run and 12 strikeouts in the Lancers’ 2-1 win over Bridgewater State. On the season, Smith is 2-3 with two complete games having pitched 36 innings with 46 strikeouts.
The Lancers baseball is back in action tomorrow as the host Fitchburg State in two conference battles with game one action schedule for a 2pm start.
