
Worcester, MA- Worcester State Men’s Basketball sophomore, Aaron Nkrumah (Worcester, MA), was named Player of the Week for the MASCAC for the third time this season after noteworthy performances in both games this week for the Lancers.
Nkrumah averaged 20 points, 9.5 re-bounds, 4 steals and 1.5 assists all while shooting 42.9% from the field (15-35) in a 2-0 week for the Lancers, who remain undefeated in MASCAC play. Nkrumah recorded a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds, to go along with his two assists and two steals in the overtime victory at Fitchburg State on Wednesday night. He followed up that performance with another 20 point game, along with eight rebounds, six steals and an assist and block in the Saturday afternoon victory over MCLA. Nkrumah has already recorded 287 total points on the season with 124 rebounds, 35 assists, 18 blocks and 44 steals in his first season with Worcester State.
The Lancers are back in action on Wednesday when they host Framingham State for a 5:30pm tip off.
