Worcester, MA- Worcester State Men’s Basketball Junior, Ryan Rubenskas (Bridgewater, MA), was named Player of the Week for the MASCAC after a stellar performance in both games this week for the Lancers.

Rubenskas averaged 26.5 points, 12.5 rebounds, two blocks and five assists in a 2-0 home week for Worcester State. Recorded a double-double in both games on the week, netting 25 points, 10 rebounds with five assists and two blocks in the 95-71 win over Lesley University and 28 points, 15 rebounds along with five assists and two blocks and steal in the 85-70 win over Regis College Saturday afternoon. As Rubenskas moves into the final game to close out 2022, he currently has recorded 189 points, 99 rebounds with 19 blocks on the season. He is already halfway to joining the 1,000-point club with 514 points in his two seasons with the Lancers.

Worcester State will wrap up their 2022 slate of games on Friday afternoon, December 16, with a 3pm start versus Wentworth College.
