Jack Ryan's Hole-in-One Leads Worcester State at MASCAC Championship
Worcester, MA.- Worcester State's Men's Golf team finished sixth at the MASCAC Championship held over the past two days at the Shennecossett Golf Course in Groton, CT. The Lancers recorded a team score +119 and a total score of 687 during the tournament. Worcester State junior Patrick Rennie (+24) and sophomore Jack Ryan (+25) led the team finishing 15th and 16th in the MASCAC Tournament individual competition. First year Jon Gastonguay shot a combined 174 (+32), while senior Charles Fasold recorded a 182(+40) and fellow senior Max Joyner tallied the final score of the team total with 184 (+42) for the Lancers. 
 
For the second consecutive year, Salem State University claimed the team title on Monday afternoon. Battling through two days of windy and chilly conditions, the Vikings shot a 628 (+35), four strokes better than second place Springfield College, who finished at 632 (+33).
 
Westfield State (647) and New England College (661) were third and fourth respectively. 
 
Among the highlights of the second day of competition was a hole in one by Worcester State's Ryan on the 12th hole.
