Wallin Selected MASCAC Player Of The Week

Buzzards Bay, MA --- Senior forward Chris Wallin has been named MASCAC Ice Hockey Player of the Week for helping lead Worcester State to a 2-1 week.

Wallin, a native of Avon, CT, who played juniors for the Valley Forge Minutemen, netted four goals and an assist for five points this past week.

He started off the week with a marker and a helper in a 4-3 victory over Stonehill before he registered his first career hat trick in a 3-2 overtime triumph over Fitchburg State. In their victory over the Falcons, it was the first for the Lancers in seven years.

Though eight games this season, Wallin currently has a team-best six goals with four assists for 10 points, which is the second-highest on the squad. In the overall MASCAC standings, Wallin's total goals and power play goals (4) are tied for second while his points are tied for fifth in the conference.

The Lancers are currently 3-2-3 on the season and 2-1-1 in the conference under the guidance of 18th year head coach John Guiney. They are alone in third place in the MASCAC with five points.
