Worcester State (0-3) broke the shutout with 4:58 remaining in the game when sophomore Nathan Stanley (Meriden, ID) potted his second marker of the year as classmate Stephen Rock (Tulsa, OK) and junior Derek Serbon (Crown Point, IN) dished helpers on the play.

WNE sophomore Tim Carr (Pine Bush, NY) stopped 29 of the 30 shots he saw on goal while senior Mark Evans (Ludlow, MA) collected 19 saves in the losing decision.

For the game, Western New England held a 31-30 edge in shots and were 1-for-3 with the extra man advantage. Stanley netted a goal on one of WSU's two power play opportunities.
