
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Ice Hockey team, coming off a three-game winning streak, has repeated this week with the MASCAC Goalie of the Week Honors as senior Wyatt Friedlander (Lake Placid, NY) claims this week’s recognition.
Friedlander Registered a 0.50 GAA, .986 save percentage and 68 saves in a 2-0 week for the Lancers. He made 46 saves in the 3-1 victory over Anna Maria and a clean sheet with 22 saves in the 1-0 victory over Westfield State. On the season Friedlander has made appearances in seven games with six starts for a 3.58 GAA on 238 saves for a .919 save percentage on the season. With Friedlanders 46 save performance on Saturday, he has now recorded 1,040 career saves.
Joining Friedlander with a weekly honorable mention is fellow senior Martin Dlugolinsky (Stara Lubovna, Slovakia) who tallied two goals and an assist in a 2-0 week for the Lancers. He scored two goals in the 3-1 win over Anna Maria and added an assist in the 1-0 win over Westfield State.
Worcester State will wrap up their 2024 slate of games on Saturday as they journey to Southern New Hampshire for a 1:10pm puck drop.
