Men's Track Places Fifth At Wheaton Invitational

Norton, MA --- Strong performances in the field highlighted by first place finishes by senior teammates Jim Macera (Paxton, MA) and Matt Leeds (Bellingham, MA) in the weight throw (16.36m) and long jump (6.52m), respectively, helped the Worcester State men's indoor track team finish fifth at the Wheaton Invitational.

Senior Nate Starling (Braintree, MA) took home third in the 55 meter hurdles (8.08) and fifth in the 55 meter dash (6.80) while sophomore Nick Copone (Billerica, MA) added fourth in the shot put (13.14m) and 11th in the weight throw (10.82m).

Andrew Garcia had a strong meet as he notched sixth in the pole vault (3.50m) while freshman Sebastian Bilenschuk (Mansfield, MA) and Harrison McCann (Rutland, MA) each tallied ninth in the weight throw (11.10m) and shot put (11.58m), respectively.

Junior RJ Stahelski (S. Deerfield, MA) recorded seventh in the 400 (52.14) as Leeds finished the meet in 15th in the 200 (23.23).
