Men’s Track Highlights from Division III New England’s

Medford, MA --- Sophomore Nate Starling (Braintree, MA) along with freshmen teammates Todd Paquin (Pelham, NH) and Jon Parrella (Wilmington, MA) had a pair of top 15 finishes to help pace the Worcester State men’s outdoor track and field team at the Division III New England Championships. The Lancers did not finish with any team points at the meet.

Starling clocked 10th in the 110 meter hurdles (15.59) and 13th in the 100 meters (11.35) as Parella notched 14th in the 400 meter hurdles (57.33) and Paquin had a jump of 6.33 meter for 15th in the long jump.

Junior RJ Stahelski (S. Deerfield, MA) finished 21st in the 400 (51.25) and 23rd in the 200 (23.61).

In relay action both teams crossed the finish line in 12th. Starling and Paquin along with senior Matt Leeds (Bellingham, MA) and freshman Julio Arzu (Lynn, MA) timed 44.74 in the 4x100 relay while the 4x400 team of Parella, Paquin, Stahelski and first-year Tim Mazeika (Milbury, MA) ran a time of 3:29.99.

Select Lancers will compete in two weeks at the ECAC Championships hosted by Springfield.
