Dedham, MA --- Senior Matt Leeds (Bellingham, MA) popped a season-best leap of 6.84 meters to earn All-NEICAAA accolades with a fourth place finish as he helped lead the men's outdoor track and field team. Three-day event was held at Northeastern Universities Solomon Track featuring competition from Divisions I, II and III.
The squad finished with five team points as they took home 29th place.
Leed's previous best jump was 6.72 meters which he jumped at Fitchburg's Jim Sheehan Invitational. Leeds is only 0.14 meters away from provisionally qualifying for the NCAA Division III Outdoor championships.
Sophomore Nate Starling (Braintree, MA) also posted solid finishes with 16th place in the 110 meter hurdles (15.49) and 19th in the 100 meters (11.66). Freshman Todd Paquin (Pelham, NH) added 22nd in the 100 (11.81) and 18th in the long jump (6.31m).
Next week the Lancers will wrap up their season at the ECAC Championships at Springfield College.
