Crawford Helps Two Relay Teams Shatter School Records At Open New England's

New London, CT --- Paced by freshman Devlin Crawford (Randolph, MA) two relay teams set new school records this afternoon including the 4x100 meter relay team who earned All-New England honors to help the Worcester State take tie for 32nd place on the third day of the Open New England Championships, hosted by Southern Connecticut.

The 4x100 squad which was comprised of sophomore Julio Arzu (Lynn, MA), Crawford, rookie Julius White (Beverly, MA) and second-year Todd Paquin (Pelham, NH) broke the mark which was set last week at the Division III Championships at MIT. The new time is 42.91.

The 4x400 meter relay of freshman Ramses Rafael (Lawrence, MA), Crawford, sophomore Jon Parrella (Wilmington, MA) and senior RJ Stahelski (S. Deerfield, MA) clocked 11th with a new outdoor time of 3:21.02.

Select Lancers will complete at next week's ECAC Division III Championships, hosted by Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA.

 


 

Friday's Release

New London, CT --- Senior RJ Stahelski (S. Deerfield, MA), sophomore Todd Paquin (Pelham, NH) and freshman Devlin Crawford (Randolph, MA) all had strong performances in their respective events on the second day of the Open New England Championships this afternoon, hosted by Southern Connecticut.

Stahelski timed 16th in the 400 meters (49.70) as Paquin added 18th in the long jump (6.55 meters).

Sophomore Jon Parrella (Wilmington, MA) was also 20th in the 400 meter hurdles (56.59) while Crawford and classmate Ramses Rafael (Lawrence, MA) placed 17th (23.01) and 23rd (23.26) in the 200, respectively.
