Buzzards Bay, MA --- Worcester State junior Todd Paquin (Pelham, NH) has been named MASCAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week for helping lead the Lancers to second-place at the Jim Sheehan Invitational.

Paquin placed second in the 100 meters (11.19), fourth in the 200 (23.12) before he took home top honors in the long jump (6.79m/22-03.50). Along with sophomore Luke Curtis (Dudley, MA) and freshmen classmates Duy Truong (Worcester, MA/Doherty) and Terrence Gibson (Rockland, MA), Paquin would also take home top honors in the 4x100 meter relay (43.09).

With his marks in the 100 meters and in the long jump, Paquin stamped his ticket in both events for the Division III New England Championships. The 4x100 meter relay mark is also the third-best time in Division III New England and 10th in the ECAC Division III.

The Blue and Gold will compete again next week at UMass Amherst and the following week at Fitchburg State before they will go for gold at the MASCAC/Alliance Championships at Westfield State on April 28.
