Men's Outdoor Track & Field Named Fourth in Pre-season Poll

Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Men’s Outdoor Track Team finished fourth with 8 points in the MASCAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll, as announced Wednesday by the league.

Worcester State comes in fourth in the 2023 preseason poll. During the 2022 Championship, Daniel Clark placed fifth in the men’s 800 meter run with a time of 2:05.77 and was a member of the 4x400 meter relay that was fifth. Leading the preseason poll was Bridgewater State with 15 points, just three points ahead of Westfield State at 12 points. Fitchburg State came in the third seed with 10 points, just two ahead of the Lancers.  Mass. Maritime came in in the fifth and final spot with 5 points.

Bridgewater State, Fitchburg State, Framingham State, Massachusetts Maritime and Worcester State begin their outdoor season on Saturday at the BSU Bears Invitational while Westfield State kicks off the season as the Wesleyan  Spring Classic.
