Worcester, MA- Worcester State Men’s Outdoor Track and Field sophomore Brodie Jacques (Rehoboth, MA), was named rookie of the week after his three event victories at the MASCAC Championship this past Saturday.
Jacques earned the top spot in three events, including the 100m dash (10.99), 200m dash (22.16) and long jump (6.95m) at the MASCAC Men’s Outdoor Track and Field Championship. Added a third-place finish in the high jump (1.80m). Set personal records in the 200, long jump and high jump while qualifying for DIII New England’s in the 100, 200 and long jump.
Jacques and fellow qualifiers will return to action starting Thursday in Springfield at the DIII- New England Regionals in a bid to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
