Men's Cross Country Places Fourth At City Championships

Paxton, MA --- Freshman Pat Daley (Millbury, MA) clocked 31:15 as he crossed the finish line in 18th to help lead the Worcester State men's cross country team to a fourth place finish at the Worcester City Meet at Moore State Park.

WPI would capture their 38th city championship trophy in the 44 year history of the event while junior Chris Kibler of Fitchburg State was the top finisher on the five mile course (28:30).

First-year Neil Reilly (Oxford, MA) came in second for the Lancers as he placed 28th (32:00) while classmates Dan Morrissey (Dudley, MA) and Zach Creeden (Billerica, MA) added 48th (34:09) and 50th (34:17), just 16 seconds apart. Sophomore Dan Anderson (Sutton, MA) and freshman Alex Inman (Westford, MA) rounded out the field in 53rd (35:12) and 54th (35:50), respectively.

Worcester State will run again next week at CCRI at the Tri-States Championship.
