Nicole Gaffney joined Worcester State in the summer of 2018 as an assistant coach of both the men's and women's cross country teams.

Prior to her start at Worcester State, Gaffney was a four-year member of the Fitchburg State University cross country and track & field teams where she placed in the top-10 of several MASCAC Championships
