The softball team's scheduled doubleheader against Rhode Island College has been cancelled as Worcester State will be heading up to Salem State to play a make-up twinbill against the Vikings starting at 4 PM. The MASCAC game is a make-up from Sunday's contest which was postponed due to unplayable field conditions.

Also, Thursday's scheduled doubleheader against Becker will be played at WPI. The first pitch is slated for 4 o'clock.

Worcester State currently has a record of 14-10 and they are 6-0 in conference play. They are paced by junior southpaw Michaella Mahoney (Shrewsbury, MA), who leads the MASCAC with a 0.69 earned run average. Mahoney also has a 20 2/3 scoreless innings streak as she has tossed a pair of shutouts in her last two starts in the circle. Sophomore Erica Cordio (Leominster, MA) also leads the conference in batting with a .474 average as of Sunday's conference rankings.

The Lancers will open up Rockwood Park on Saturday in a MASCAC twinbill against Framingham State at 12 PM. A brief ceremony and opening pitch will occur prior to the game to commemorate the field. Rockwood Park was recently rebuilt during the fall and the restoration was finished within the past week.
