
Worcester, MA- The Worcester State Softball team had one named to the MASCAC weekly awards after this past week of action. First year Amanda Adamuska (Dudley, MA) was named the Rookie of the Week by the MASCAC. The Softball team went 2-2 on the week and moved to 5-1 in the MASCAC.
Adamuska batted .600 (6-10) with two doubles, three RBI, two runs scored, .800 slugging percentage and .600 on-base percentage in a 2-2 week for the Lancers. Went 4-for-6 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in the doubleheader split with Westfield State. Added a double and RBI in the 3-1 victory over Rhode Island College.
Teammate sophomore Sarah Gosselin (Charlton, MA) was named to this weeks MASCAC honor roll. Gosselin batted .429 (6-14) with a double, RBI, four runs scored and two stolen bases in a 2-2 week for the Lancers. Was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a stolen base in the 12-8 win over Westfield State.
The Lancers are back in action tomorrow after today’s weather moved the Lancer’s double header at Fitchburg State to Tuesday, 4/18, at 3 and 5pm.
