Danbury, CT --- Junior Bianca Langford (Worcester, MA/Holy Name) has been named Corvais Co-ECAC Division III New England and MASCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for her outstanding performance in a five-point victory over Salem College last week.

Langford netted a season-best 25 points to go with 14 rebounds, three assists and a trifecta of blocks on a .480 percent effort from the field in a 70-65 triumph over the Spirit on their trip to North Carolina after the holiday. She also notched her fourth double-double of the campaign in the win.

Since matriculating from Southern New Hampshire this past season, Langford has been an impact transfer averaging 13.2 points, 11.7 rebounds and 2.5 blocks while helping pace the Lancers to a 7-3 overall record.

Langford tops the MASCAC in average boards and total caroms while her blocks are second and points are eighth in the conference statistical standings. Among NCAA Division III rebounding leaders, Langford is tied for 32nd in the nation and she second in New England.

This week's ECAC Division III New England honor was shared between Langford and senior Molly Brown (South Dartmouth, MA) of Bates.

The Blue and Gold will play three games in the next week starting with Johnson and Wales tonight at 7 PM and Suffolk at 12 PM on Thursday with both home games to be played at WPI. WSU closes out the week with a road trip to MCLA for their first MASCAC contest of the campaign.
