SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Worcester State University women's basketball student-athletes Mya Mosley (Worcester, Mass.) and Erin Gallella (Tewksbury, Mass.) have each been named to New England Women's Basketball Association All-Region teams.

Mosley was selected to the NEWBA All-Region Third Team, while Gallella was named to the NEWBA All-Rookie Second Team. Mosley also earned an invitation to play in the NEWBA Senior All-Star Classic.

Mosley transferred into Worcester State from Division II Franklin Pierce for her senior season, and the move paid immediate dividends for the Lancers. She ranked fourth in the MASCAC averaging 17.2 points per game, and added 25.7 points per game for the Lancers in the postseason. Mosley was a two-time MASCAC Player of the Week, one-time Worcester Area College Basketball Association and NEWBA Player of the Week, and one-time NEWBA Weekly Honor Roll selection. She was also named to the First Team All-MASCAC.

Gallella jumped right into the Lancers' vacant point guard position at the start of the season, and was a key piece of Worcester State's 19-win, MASCAC Championship finalist team. Gallella was a two-time Worcester Area College Basketball Association Rookie of the Week and one-time MASCAC Rookie of the Week selection in her freshman season.
