Worcester, MA- Sweeping the month of January in the MASCAC, is first year Lena Waldron (Quincy, MA), who grabbed her seventh MASCAC Rookie of the Week honor on the season with Worcester States 75-25 victory over MCLA this past Wednesday.
Waldron scored 18 points with three rebounds, five steaks and two assists in the Lancers’ win over MCLA in their only game of the week. On the rookie season Waldron has 180 points, 120 rebounds, 26 steals and three blocks.
Receiving honorable mention this week was last week’s player of the week senior Katie Hurynowicz (Tyngsboro, MA) who recorded 16 points with three rebounds and two steals in the Lancers’ victory.
Worcester State returns to action this Wednesday when they host Fitchburg State at 5:30pm in this season’s Lancer Game to promote support from all athletics teams.
