
Worcester, MA- For the second week in a row the Worcester State Women’s basketball team has a familiar name on the MASCAC weekly honors as first year Lena Waldron (Quincy, MA) was named the rookie of the week. Waldron first brought home the honors last week, in the opening week of the season, and has followed it up with her second selection.
The Lancers spent their game schedule this week down in Northern Virginia as they competed in the Pablo Coto Tournament hosted by Marymount University. Waldron Averaged 11.5 points, seven rebounds and 1.5 steals in two games for the Lancers. Finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds and a steal in the 76-70 setback to Penn-State-Harrisburg. Added seven points, three rebounds and three assists in the setback to Marymount (Va.).
Worcester State is back in action tomorrow when they travel for 5pm tip-off versus Keene State in their final game before the Thanksgiving Break.
