Worcester, MA- After a 1-1-1 week that saw the Lancers grab their first win and conference tie of the season, the team added more success to the week as sophomore Caroline Gates (Natick, MA) was named the ECHA Player of the Week for her contributions during the Curry Colonels game last Monday.
Gates recorded a goal and an assist in the Lancers 4-0 victory over the Colonels of Curry College. Gates scored the eventual game-winning goal for the Lancers on Monday night and followed it up with a helper on the final tally of the game. The Lancers finished the week 1-1-1.
Worcester State (1-3-1, 0-1-1) return to action tomorrow at 4pm when they again host Rivier in a second matchup as each team looks to break the stalemate from this past Saturday.
