Manning Selected To All-NEWLA First-Team

Chicopee, MA --- Worcester State senior midfielder Colleen Manning has been tabbed to the New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance (NEWLA) First-Team in a vote by the leagues eight head-coaches. Manning wraps up a solid four-year career as a Lancer.

Manning, a native of Plainville, MA, paced the Blue and Gold with a team-bests of 31 goals and 37 points while she also contributed six assists, six ground balls and 10 draws.

As of this past week, Manning was 19th in the NEWLA in total goals while she was tied for 20th in cumulative points. Manning had seven games with three or more tallies which included five goals and one dish in a setback to Framingham State, four goals in a victory over Elms and a hat-trick in a win over Becker.

Manning posted totals of 88 markers and 17 helpers for 99 career points, which is sixth on WSU's all-time scoring list.

Under the direction of fifth-year head coach Deb Draper, the Lancers finished 2-10 overall and 2-5 in the NEWLA.
