Worcester, MA --- Adrian senior Olivia Duncan (Orangeville, Ontario) netted six goals and added a trio of assists to help lead the Bulldogs past Worcester State, 18-6, in non-conference women's lacrosse action this afternoon at Coughlin Field.

The Bulldogs (8-2) wasted little time jumping out to an early 3-0 advantage over the first eight minutes of game play.

Senior Stacey Birlson (Centennial, CO) started the run with her free position shot at the 25:17 mark of the first half.

Duncan then assisted classmate Heather Newblom (Holland, OH) on her marker at 22:38 before she potted a goal of her own just 22 ticks later.

The Lancers (4-1) were able to get on the scoreboard when sophomore Molly Kilday (Westford, MA) found the back of the net at 19:33 to cut the deficit to two.

Adrian then rattled off another 3-0 spurt over the next three and a half minutes to run the score to 6-1.

Third-year Maddie Dugan (Rochester Hills, MI) registered two tallies over this run with Duncan netting the third as Birlson picked up a pair of helpers.

Worcester State fought back with a 3-1 run of their own to go into the half down only three goals, 7-4.

Sophomore Jaclyn Lawlor (Westford, MA) bookended the streak, with a goal at the 13:57 mark before she recorded the final goal of the period at 1:38.

The Bulldogs came out of the intermission running on all cylinders and outscored the hosts, 11-2, in the final frame.

Duncan hit home three goals in the half while Dugan, Newblom, and third-year Hannah Early (Shelburne, Onatario) each chipped in with a pair as Adrian hit running time with under 10 minutes to play.

WSU junior Vicki O'Brien (Canton, MA) registered a goal midway through the period and freshman Kalia Chase (Northbridge, MA) scored her team best 15th goal of the year at 5:15 for the Blue and Gold.

Birlson finished with eight points on the afternoon (2 goals, 6 assists) and Dugan registered four markers and one assist while Newblom and Early each collected hat-tricks of their own.

Freshman Jackie Connors (Ashland, MA) netted a goal and scored three draw controls for the Lancers while classmate Katelyn Murphy (Billerica, MA) had a team best four groundballs.

Adrian outshot the Lancers, 32-10, while also earning the edge in ground balls (16-11) and draw controls (21-5).

Bulldog freshman net minder Maddie McDonald (Whitby, Ontario) recorded four saves in the victory as senior Alex Chisholm (N. Brookfield, MA) registered nine stops in the defeat.

WSU will return to action Tuesday when they face off against Becker at 7 PM and Adrian returns home from their East Coast trip to battle with Calvin to start out MIAA play next Saturday at 1 PM.
