Buzzards Bay, MA --- Sophomore forward Danielle Clifford has been named MASAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week for her five point performance in a 2-0 week for Worcester State last week.
Clifford, a product of Attleboro, MA, netted a pair of goals in a 3-0 victory over Colby-Sawyer and then she added a helper on the game-winning tally in a 1-0 triumph over Clark.
Last season as a freshman Clifford played in 17 of 18 games and she notched two goals with four assists for a total of eight points.
This week the Lancers will face off against two NEWMAC opponents as they will play MIT on Tuesday at 4 PM before taking on regionally ranked Wheaton at noon on Saturday. The Lyons are currently fourth in the latest NSCAA New England Regional poll.
