WORCESTER, Mass. – Worcester State University's freshman midfielder, Maddie Fong (Norton, Mass.) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) women's soccer rookie of the week, as announced by the conference Monday (Oct. 23) afternoon.

This past weekend, Fong scored a goal on her own corner kick and also assisted two other goals on corner kicks in the Lancers' 3-0 win over Framingham State.

Fong currently leads the MASCAC with seven assists, and is second on the team with 11 points.

The women's soccer team resumes play on Tuesday (Oct. 24) when they host UMass Dartmouth in a 7 p.m. non-conference tilt.
