Cambridge, MA --- Junior Mara Kralian (N. Grafton, MA) had a solid meet as she chalked up third in the long jump (17-03.50) and 14th in the 60 meter dash (8.12) as the top Division III finisher in both events to help lead the Worcester State women's indoor track team at the Harvard Open.

The non-scoring meet featured competition from all three NCAA divisions and several club track teams as well.

Kralian's distance in the long jump qualified her for the ECACs for the second event in as many meets. Senior Christina Bisbee (N. Attleboro, MA) also distinguished herself by tossing 14th in the weight throw with a distance of 43-03 feet to qualify for the Division III New England Championships.

Sophomore Briana Wise (Worcester, MA/Burncoat), Kralian and junior Sarah Rafferty (Uxbridge, MA) all used the banked track to their advantage to post DIII New England qualifying times in the 200 as they placed 22nd (26.96), 25th (27.08) and 38th (27.55), respectively.

Wise also timed 15th in the 60 - just one second behind Kralian (8.13) - while she also jumped 18th in the long jump (15-07.50).

In the field, first-year Hannah Werneth (N. Yarmouth, ME) had throws of 17th in the shot put (35-07.75) and 27th in the weigh throw (33-11.50) as sophomore Kristen Brunelle (Dracut, MA) added 20th in the shot put (34-04.25) and 29th in the weight throw (32-09).

Freshman Christy Deininger (N. Attleboro, MA), first-year Amanda Holden (Lunenburg, MA) and sophomore classmates Steph Muse (Chelmsford, MA) and Kayle McElroy (Rutland, MA) each finished 13th (9.76), 17th (9.83), 18th (9.90) and 19th (9.99), respectively, in the 60 meter hurdles.

Holden also cleared 19th in the high jump with a height of 4-10.50 and had leap of 21st in the triple jump (32-08.25).

Rookie Alison Hickey (Easton, MA) recorded 25th in the 400 (1:03.03) while classmate Megan Taylor (Danvers, MA) was one tenth of a second off in 27th (1:03.13).

In the 3,000 meter run, first-year Kelsey Cartwright (Bridgewater, MA) claimed 16th with a time of 11:29.72 while teammate Ali Barrett (Hingham, MA) added 22nd (11:36.97) in the same event.

Junior Maura Withington (W. Palm Beach, FL) tacked on 26th in the 800 (2:32.51) and 23rd in the 3,000 as sophomore Brittany Grueter (Foxboro, MA) timed 21st in the 3,000 (11:35.90) and 31st in the 800 (2:36.34).

Sophmore Erin Donohue (Saugus, MA) rounded out the finishers as she covered the mile run with a time of 5:37.80.

The Lancers will continue their season when they head to the Tufts Invitational on January 16.
